Purpose of the job
The job will be responsible to: assist the company to decrease or eliminate the risks being undertaken in performing operational, financial, and technological business processes assessment; assist management/ risk owners to identify,
understand, and manage risks inherent in their operations; and provide leadership with necessary capacity to improve their internal controls along with corporate assurance frameworks.
Key Responsibility Areas
• Mature processes for operational risk identification and evaluation;
• Assist management to identify, understand, and manage risks inherent to their operations
• Partner with all SITA divisions and departments (risk owners) and to ensure risk management execution
• Assist with compliance risks identification against policies, laws and regulations.

Qualifications and Experience
Required Qualification: minimum 3-year National Higher Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Risk
Management/Auditing/Information Systems or any relevant qualification equivalent to the NQF Level.
Experience: 6-7 years’ experience within Risk Management, Internal Audit or an internal control/risk role in finance or IT operations.

Technical Competencies Description
Expert knowledge of common risk management methodologies — for example, Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology and Committee of Sponsoring Organizations; Knowledge of corporate governance principles; In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations; Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures
and record keeping; Extensive knowledge of ERM frameworks and working principles; Thorough understanding of business and operational risk and control processes and procedures; Good understanding of regulatory compliance
requirements; have the technical knowledge to implement appropriate IS controls; Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations relevant to Government institutions.
Technical competencies: Risk Management
Leadership competencies: Collaboration, Planning and Organising, and Decision-making
Interpersonal/behavioural competencies: Active listening, Attention to Detail, Analytical thinking, and Disciplined.
