Purpose of the job
To assist with the provisioning of Integrated Network Management Systems with regards to the implementation, maintenance, support and projects, guided by industry standards technology, in line with business and operational requirements, to enable NND Network Management Systems environment to meet service delivery objectives .

Key Responsibility Areas
• To assist with the implementation of a network management strategy and solution according to business and operational needs and standards for NGN, DOD and SAPS environment.
• Plan, design, and implementation of network management solutions, systems and products.
• To provide network management advisory services to SITA and clients.
• To assist mentoring team members.

Qualifications and Experience
Minimum: 3 years National Diploma or Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science / Information
Systems/ Engineering/ related fields at NQF-Level-6.
Certifications: Network Management Product Certifications / Solaris / Linux Certifications / Cisco Network Certifications.
Experience: 6-7 years’ experience in ICT environment of a corporate or public sector organization, relevant technical experience in network management solutions and systems including HP-NNMi, Cisco LMS, Cisco Prime, Cisco ACS, IBM Netcool, CA eHealth, Netscout.

Technical Competencies Description
Knowledge of: Solaris, Linux and Windows operating systems. Network Management Systems. Network
Infrastructure, Government and IT Industry Products and Services, Industry Standards Best Practices, Business Processes and Project Control.
