Job Advert JOB PURPOSE
An exciting and challenging opportunity has become available for a Divisional sales Manager, within our
Operations (Northern SBU) team. The primary focus of the Divisional Sales Manager position is the
effective, efficient, and consistent implementation of the company and operations’ strategy in order to
maximize sales by focusing on people, store image, visual merchandising and business processes.
The successful applicant will need to be able to lead a team of store managers, and to provide direction
within the division in order to achieve divisional goals.
Qualifications Essential:
• Matric (ideal subjects: Economics, Accounting and Mathematics)
Preferred:
? Post matric qualification in Business Commerce/Retail or Marketing
? Retail Management /Leadership Development programmes
Knowledge, Skills and Experience KNOWLEDGE required:
? In store processes
? Product knowledge
? Financial services
? Visual merchandising
? In store supply chain
? People Management (scheduling/planning/tasking)
? Applicable HR policies & procedures

Key Responsibilities Sales Performance
? Optimise the sales of the division through effective implementation of business processes
? Generate and exceed sales budgets and growth
? Oversee effective stock management processes within the division
? Ensure correct merchandise and customer profiling for stores within the division
? Ensure stores follow the correct Visual Merchandising procedures to optimise sales
? Exceed customer expectations through effective implementation of the strategy
People Management
? Accurately identify talent within the division and work with DHRM to ensure proper succession plans
? Ensure a climate of productivity and positive morale by living the company values
? Ensure subordinate effectiveness through effective leadership, communication, and management of
job performance
? Ensure stores adhere to people policies and procedures in relation to staffing and talent processes
Cost Management
? Optimise store profitability through effective management of costs
? Manage personal costs in line with budgets
Risk and Property
? Ensure that stores adhere to all risk and admin policies and procedures
? Ensure stock loss results below company norm
? Ensure that stores adhere to OHASA

? Ensure that all maintenance issues are addressed and within a specified period
Business Projects
? Ensure 100% implementation of business projects (e.g. new stores, revamps, co. strategic initiative,
etc)
Other OTHER
? Candidate must be in possession of a valid Drivers’ License and be willing to travel extensively
