STORE ASSISTANT / GENERAL WORKER (X20 POSTS)

Salary: R6 500 – R9 500 per month (depending on location and experience) Contract Type: Permanent / Fixed-term / YES Programme Location: Various Mr Price stores nationwide (Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Western Cape, Eastern Cape, Limpopo, Mpumalanga and Free State)
Job Purpose: To support daily store operations by assisting customers, maintaining stock levels, keeping the store clean and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
Minimum Requirements:
- South African citizen
- Grade 12 (Matric) preferred, but Grade 10 / Adult Basic Education and Training Level 4 will be considered
- Aged between 18 and 35 years (for YES Programme positions)
- Currently unemployed (for YES Programme)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Physically fit and able to stand for long hours
- Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
- No criminal record
- Ability to work well in a team
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with product enquiries and purchases
- Unpack, pack and arrange stock on shelves and display areas
- Maintain cleanliness of the store, fitting rooms and stockrooms
- Operate the till / point of sale system (training will be provided)
- Assist with stock takes and inventory control
- Handle returns and exchanges according to company policy
- Ensure the store is always neat, tidy and ready for customers
- Follow all company policies, procedures and safety rules
- Perform any other duties as required by the Store Manager
