PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To ensure the Distribution Center health and safety standards are met and compliance to all SOPs and company policies and procedures in the Distribution Center.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
SAFETY:
- Implement relevant safety, health and environment system
- Conduct regular site inspections and enforce adherence to laws and regulations governing health and safety of employees
- Identify SHE hazards
- Conduct accident and incident investigations
- Train employees on she procedures
- Control SHEQ audits
- Produce safety related statistics
- Do system documentation updates
QUALITY:
- Ensure implementation and adherence to standard quality controls
- Provide internal quality assurance
JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS
- At least 2 years’ experience within the Distribution Centre environment, specializing in Compliance
- 2 years experience as a SHEQ officer
- Grade 12
- Computer Literacy: G-Suite and Microsoft Office
- Extensive knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills to convey information in reports, meetings, and status reports.
- Ability to handle a stressful and fast paced environment.
- Ample experience in implementing corrective/preventive measures
