Position Overview
Studio 88 is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join their team in Limpopo. This role focuses on providing exceptional customer service, driving sales, and maintaining store standards. You will be responsible for assisting customers, processing transactions, and ensuring a positive shopping experience while contributing to the store’s sales goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Assist customers in selecting products and provide recommendations based on their needs.
- Sales Targets: Strive to meet or exceed sales targets while upselling and cross-selling relevant products.
- Store Maintenance: Help with restocking, organizing, and maintaining a clean and presentable store environment.
- Inventory Management: Assist with stock control and conducting spot checks in the stockroom.
- POS Systems: Accurately handle cash and process transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Visual Merchandising: Contribute to store displays, ensuring they are visually appealing and aligned with current fashion trends.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Experience:
- 1-2 years in a retail sales environment, preferably in clothing stores.
- Proven ability to meet sales targets.
- Experience with cash handling and POS systems.
- Familiarity with inventory control processes.
Required Skills
- Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to assist customers and resolve concerns.
- Sales Techniques: Ability to upsell and cross-sell to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
- Fashion Knowledge: Understanding of clothing products, brands, sizes, and fashion trends.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Time Management: Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
