• Daily scheduling of warehouse personnel to ensure proper staffing to respond to work demands in a productive, cost effective and timely manner.
• Responsible for training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Ensure staff productivity by placing staff in all relevant areas.
• Ensure all workers are wearing the correct PPE.
• Administer leave for all employees in the shift.
• Responsible for all Forward Planning.
• Compile daily complement report and send to the Shift Manager.
• Ensure all toolbox tasks are completed before shift starts.
• Ensure the shift runs well and queries are dealt with timeously in liaison with the Shift Manager.

2. PROCESS

• Ensure that process compliance is checked.
• Check reports on the system hourly and immediately take appropriate action if necessary.
• Ensure all Health and Safety regulations are adhered to.
• Ensure Housekeeping is done at the end of each shift.
• Ensure Cycle count is accurately done on each shift.

3. FINANCE

• Perform personnel administration when necessary.
• Ensure employees are paid the correct rates.
• Manage overtime worked and scheduled.

4. RISK

• Responsible for warehouse safety programs in order to provide a safe work environment ensuring that safety related procedures are followed and all equipment is properly functioning and maintained.
• Attend Health and Safety meetings.

• Matric / NQF level 4 qualification

Desirable

• Tertiary qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain management

• 2-3 years of experience in Logistics/Manufacturing/Distribution/TES or Facilities Management
