As a Customer Service Representative, you will play a crucial role in delivering a world-class customer experience by assisting our clients with mobile-related queries, product issues, billing enquiries, and account services.


Job Purpose

The primary responsibility of the Call Centre Agent is to ensure that every customer receives efficient, professional, and friendly assistance across all service channels. This includes handling calls, emails, WhatsApp messages, and web chat enquiries while maintaining a high standard of communication and customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

As a Call Centre Agent at Mr Price Money, your daily duties will include:

  1. Customer Interaction and Support

    • Respond promptly to incoming calls, emails, WhatsApp, and web chat queries from customers.

    • Offer accurate and helpful information about Mr Price Money’s mobile products and services.

    • Assist customers with account queries, billing concerns, SIM card issues, and other mobile service requests.

  2. Query Resolution and Escalation

    • Investigate customer issues efficiently and provide timely resolutions.

    • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the appropriate department while maintaining customer communication until resolution.

    • Ensure that customer expectations are met and exceeded through clear, empathetic, and solution-oriented responses.

  3. Data and Information Management

    • Log all customer interactions and queries accurately in the system.

    • Update customer records to ensure data accuracy and compliance with internal policies and data protection regulations.

  4. Service Excellence

    • Deliver a consistent, high-quality service experience across all communication platforms.

    • Adhere to Mr Price Money’s customer service standards and operational procedures.

    • Achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as average handling time, first-call resolution, and customer satisfaction scores.

  5. Collaboration and Teamwork

    • Work closely with team members and other departments to resolve customer issues.

    • Participate actively in team meetings, training sessions, and performance discussions.

    • Support colleagues and contribute to a positive, energetic, and collaborative work environment.

  6. Continuous Learning

    • Stay updated with new products, promotions, and system changes.

    • Participate in learning and development opportunities provided by Mr Price Money.

    • Continuously seek ways to improve service delivery and personal performance.


Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Matric / Grade 12 certificate (essential).

  • Minimum of 1 year’s experience as a Customer Service Representative, preferably in a telecommunications (Telco) or retail environment.

  • Proficient in using communication platforms such as WhatsApp for Business, webchat, and email systems.

  • Good understanding of retail mobile products, account servicing, and billing processes.
