Position: Firefighter (x21) – Exclusive Re-Opening
Department: Community Services

Annual Salary: Competitive, Ranging from R113,896.30 (excluding benefits)
Location: Sekhukhune District Municipality
Minimum Requirements:
– High School Diploma (Grade 12)
– Certification in Firefighting I or equivalent
– Hazmat Awareness Training
– First Aid Level 3 Certification
– Successful completion of Medical Test NFPA 1582
– Clean Criminal Record
– Minimum 1-year relevant operational experience
– Code EB Driver’s License (an advantage)
Desirable Skills and Qualities:
– Familiarity with local government regulations
– Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
Key Responsibilities:
– Execute efficient fire services and respond to fire and rescue incidents
– Undertake special services as required
– Respond promptly to emergency incidents
– Implement effective fire prevention strategies
– Conduct inspections of fire equipment
– Fulfill other assigned duties
– Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations without claustrophobia or fear of heights
– Flexibility to adapt to diverse challenges
