The Invigilator role is a seasonal position, typically active during the examination periods. Invigilators are responsible for ensuring the smooth and fair running of examinations and assessments. They play a critical part in protecting the integrity of academic processes by preventing and addressing any form of irregularity or malpractice during assessments. Key Responsibilities:
As an Invigilator, your main duties will include:

Monitoring students throughout the assessment to ensure that all examination rules and regulations are followed.

Distributing and collecting examination materials such as question papers and answer booklets in an organized manner.

Preparing the examination venues before the start of each session to ensure that all requirements and seating arrangements meet institutional standards.

Assisting with student queries during the exam in a calm and professional way.

Reporting any incidents or irregularities that occur during the assessment period.

Ensuring the safety and integrity of all examination materials throughout the session.

Providing detailed reports at the end of each assessment to support administrative processes.
Minimum Requirements:

A Matric certificate (NQF Level 4) is essential.

A Higher Certificate or Diploma qualification will be considered advantageous.

1–2 years of work experience in an academic, administrative, or customer service environment is preferred.

Strong communication skills and the ability to manage time effectively are crucial for success in this role.
