The successful candidate will be responsible for executing daily price updates, replacing shelf edge labels, and assisting with stock presentation while ensuring compliance with company standards and security procedures.
Minimum Requirements

Education:

Minimum of Grade 10 (essential).

Grade 12 / Senior Certificate will be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
The appointed Pricing and Label Clerk will carry out the following duties in line with the company’s operational standards:

Price Label Printing and Verification

Print labels as per the price change printout/listing.

Cross-check all printed labels against the official price change listing to ensure accuracy.

Print additional or replacement labels as requested in line with company procedures.

Shelf Edge Label Management

Replace old or outdated shelf edge labels with updated ones.

Ensure that all items on display have the correct price labels clearly visible.

Identify missing shelf edge labels and take appropriate corrective action promptly.

Maintain a neat and organised labelling system for customer clarity.

Accuracy and Compliance

Ensure that all labelling activities are carried out with high attention to detail to avoid pricing errors.

Adhere strictly to company security procedures during label handling and store operations.

Execute all duties “by the book,” ensuring compliance with company rules and retail standards.

Collaboration and Communication

Work closely with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth store operations.

Communicate effectively when discrepancies, missing labels, or price mismatches are identified.

Provide assistance during store audits or inspections regarding labelling accuracy.

Routine Operations

Carry out routine label printing and replacement work daily.

Support stock management by ensuring items are clearly priced for customer convenience.

Report any operational challenges or irregularities to the Store Manager.
