Rhodes University invites qualified and motivated candidates to apply for the position of Admin Assistant (Procurement).
MAIN OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE
-
Provide professional transactional procurement services to the University.
-
Create purchase orders from requisitions and manage the purchase order lifecycle.
-
Provide helpdesk support to suppliers seeking database registration.
-
Offer functional and end-user support to requisitioners.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Academic Requirements
-
Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
Experience Required (Approx. 3 years):
-
Working in a pressurised, computerised accounting/administrative environment.
-
Using and maintaining electronic administrative systems.
-
Capturing and processing high volumes of data in a mainframe system.
-
Procurement and supplier database administration.
-
Experience with Oracle Cloud finance system (advantageous).

REMUNERATION (Grade 8)

Basic Pensionable Salary: R266 637 per annum

Total Cost to Company (Approx): R371 071 per annum
(May be appointed on a fixed-term contract of at least 3 years)
