Key Responsibilities

As a Crew Member, you will:

Arrive at work on time and complete your scheduled shifts responsibly.
Greet every customer with a smile and a friendly attitude to create a welcoming atmosphere.
Take accurate food and beverage orders efficiently while maintaining excellent service standards.
Prepare and cook menu items following McDonald’s recipes, portion standards, and hygiene protocols.
Manage multiple orders at once while ensuring accuracy and speed in delivery.
Assemble and package meals correctly, ensuring that every order meets McDonald’s presentation and quality standards.
Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the restaurant, including workstations, dining areas, restrooms, and kitchen equipment.
Follow all McDonald’s health, safety, and food-handling procedures to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
Support your fellow crew members and managers to achieve daily operational and sales goals.
Monitor stock levels and assist in receiving and storing new supplies.
Handle customer concerns or complaints with patience, professionalism, and care, ensuring a positive resolution.
Communicate clearly with team members and managers to maintain a smooth workflow.
Participate in on-the-job training sessions to improve performance and knowledge of products and procedures.
Demonstrate McDonald’s values by showing respect, teamwork, and commitment to customer satisfaction.

Requirements

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

Education: Grade 12 / Matric Certificate.
Language: Ability to speak and understand English fluently.
Distance: Must reside within 15 km of the McDonald’s Louis Trichardt branch.
Criminal Record: Must have a clear criminal record.
Skills: Basic literacy and numeracy, strong communication abilities, and willingness to follow instructions accurately.
Availability: Must be flexible to work different shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Teamwork: Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate respectfully with co-workers and customers.

Preferred Experience (Advantageous but Not Required)

Previous experience working as a Crew Member, Team Member, or in a similar food service environment.
Familiarity with kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, and ovens.
Customer service experience, particularly in fast-paced or retail environments.
