Job Overview

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must meet the following essential criteria to be considered for the internship:

Minimum Education: Grade 10 (Matric or higher will be an advantage)
PSIRA Certification: Grade C – A accredited and registered with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority
Experience: At least 2 years of experience in the security industry is required
Criminal Record: Must have no criminal record and be willing to undergo regular background and criminal checks
Fitness: Must be physically fit and able to handle the demands of the job
Residency: Must reside in Pretoria or nearby areas where the position is advertised
Gender Requirement: Males only (as per operational needs)

Key Responsibilities

Interns will be responsible for a variety of core duties essential to the smooth operation of Fidelity’s security services, including but not limited to:

Report Writing: Completing detailed and accurate incident and shift reports
Safeguarding: Protecting people, property, and assets in accordance with company standards
Patrolling: Conducting routine patrols to detect and prevent unauthorized activities
Access Control: Monitoring entrances and exits to ensure only authorized individuals gain entry
Register Management: Completing and maintaining all relevant registers and logs accurately
General Security Duties: Performing standard tasks as per training and operational procedures
