About the Opportunity
The Cashier – Water Park role plays a key part in creating a seamless and enjoyable experience for all guests visiting the Wild Waves Water Park. As one of five available positions, this seasonal job is ideal for candidates who thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy engaging with people from diverse backgrounds.
The primary responsibility of the cashier is to ensure that all guest billing transactions are handled accurately and efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards. You’ll also play an important role in access control, issuing guest bangles, reconciling payments, and ensuring that all transactions comply with Sun International’s strict operational and financial procedures.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
As a Water Park Cashier, your daily duties will include:

Cashiering Services:

Handle all guest billing and ticketing transactions.

Reconcile payments and floats accurately at the end of each shift.

Generate and maintain supporting documents for audit purposes.

Secure and transport floats responsibly, ensuring all financial procedures are followed.

Customer Engagement:

Provide a warm and professional welcome to all guests.

Engage with customers, answer questions, and assist with product information.

Promote the water park’s facilities, events, and special promotions.

Handle customer complaints or queries with patience and efficiency.

Ensure that every guest leaves with a smile and a positive impression of the Wild Coast Sun.

This role also includes ensuring cleanliness and safety within your work area, supporting team members, and being flexible enough to assist in other outlets when operational needs arise.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Education: Grade 12 (Matric)

Skills: Strong verbal communication, numeracy, and problem-solving skills

Experience: Previous experience in cash handling or customer service will be an advantage

Technical: Basic computer literacy and familiarity with cash register systems
