Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide excellent customer service at all times.

Greet and assist customers with finding products.

Offer advice and information about store items and promotions.

Handle and resolve customer complaints in a polite and professional way.

Maintain good communication with customers and team members.

Ensure that all stock is displayed according to store layout and planograms.

Keep bulk stock areas neat, safe, and properly organized.

Replace sold items immediately to keep shelves full.

Label all products correctly with accurate shelf prices.

Ensure products are easy for customers to find and reach.
-
Help with unpacking new stock and placing it on shelves quickly.

Make sure no damaged stock is placed for sale.
-
Keep your working area clean and free of obstacles at all times.
-
Complete canteen and toilet/shower cleaning checklists when on duty.
-
Follow all Occupational Health and Safety (OHSA) rules and standards.
-
Use safety gear where required and promote a safe working environment.
-
Report all unsafe conditions, damaged stock, or equipment problems immediately.

Ensure that racking and bulk stock are safely merchandised for customers and colleagues.

Check that customers can move safely through aisles without risk of injury.
-
Participate in daily safety checks and report hazards to the store manager.

Report any damaged or expired stock to the store manager.
-
Help minimize stock loss through careful handling and accurate reporting.
-
Follow company procedures on stock rotation and expiry dates.
-
Support the store manager in maintaining high operational standards.
Minimum Requirements:

Grade 10 or NQF level 3 with at least 1 year of related experience OR Grade 12 with no work experience.

Must have a valid South African ID or work permit.

Ability to communicate clearly in English and the dominant local language.

Basic mathematics and ability to perform accurate calculations.

Physically fit and able to lift, move, and organize stock.
-
Must be willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
-
Must be able to work under pressure in a busy retail environment.
-
