The Youth Employment Service (YES) is a partnership between business, government, and labour aimed at reducing youth unemployment in South Africa. This programme offers young South Africans valuable workplace experience in the retail sector.
Programme Overview
- Duration: 12 months fixed-term contract
- Sector: Retail
- Participants will receive hands-on training across various areas of retail operations.
- On successful completion, candidates will be equipped with skills to work in retail or even start their own retail business.
Who Can Apply?
- South African youth aged 18 to 34 years
- Must be unemployed
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 10 (or equivalent) — Matric (Grade 12) is highly advantageous, OR
- A Retail Readiness Programme (RRP) qualification
