🎯 PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The purpose of this role is to provide expert clerical and administrative services to support a department as part of an integrated office and administrative function. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring effective and efficient operations related to the Management of Change (MOC) process within the business unit. This position contributes to operational excellence by ensuring administrative processes are executed accurately, on time, and in line with Sasol standards.


🗂️ KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

The Clerk will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support, including handling enquiries, scheduling appointments, preparing presentations, and maintaining accurate records, particularly relating to MOC processes. The role involves coordinating and implementing MOC procedures to ensure compliance and smooth operational flow.

The incumbent will be required to meet individual performance targets while contributing to overall team objectives. All work outputs must comply with quality, quantity, and timeline standards in line with business unit and Sasol requirements. The role also involves contributing to the improvement of systems and processes that enhance administrative efficiency.

Cost awareness is essential, and the Clerk must perform duties in a cost-effective manner, demonstrating an understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and control principles. The role includes the effective use and maintenance of Sasol and business unit resources, infrastructure, equipment, and time.

Safety is a key priority at Sasol. The successful candidate must promote and achieve SHER targets, comply with safety regulations, and actively contribute to a safe, risk-free working environment. The role also requires adherence to Sasol’s values, ethical standards, and organisational culture.


🎓 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must have a High School / School Diploma or equivalent qualification. No extensive experience is required, as candidates with 0 or more years of relevant experience will be considered, making this role suitable for entry-level candidates seeking growth in an administrative environment.


🛠️ REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

The successful candidate must demonstrate strong communication skills, effective planning and organisational abilities, and a high level of attention to detail. Additional competencies include multitasking, action planning, managing complexity, accountability, and the ability to drive results. Office administration skills and the ability to work well within a team and independently are essential.
