About the Program
The Eskom Youth Employment Service (YES) is a 12-month fixed-term contract program aimed at providing first-time job seekers with practical work exposure. It aligns with South Africa’s national agenda to uplift the youth, enhance skills development, and create a more inclusive economy.

Who Can Apply
To qualify for this opportunity, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Must be a South African citizen.

Must be between the ages of 18 and 34 years.

Must have Grade 12 (Matric); those with Mathematics, Physics, and Accounting as subjects will have an added advantage.

Must have no prior work experience.
In addition to these basic requirements, candidates must also meet Eskom’s selection criteria:

You must not have been permanently employed with any single employer for more than one year.

You must not be studying full-time during the year of participation.

You must not have participated in the YES initiative previously.
